Dedicated to the AS program at Radboud at its 35th annivesary

On 20-21 September, 2024, Radboud University of Nijmegen will hold its Locating American Studies Symposium at its 35th anniversary. How do we practice American Studies in Europe? The symposium “Locating American Studies” invites us to think about the theories and methodologies we employ; the audiences we address and social partners we engage; and, finally, the knowledge, skills, and understanding we want to instill in our students. We will engage with these questions in local, national, and transnational contexts. We will share insights from our own research and teaching and find new ways to think about our joint identity and ambition.
