Data Protection Policy (GDPR) for NASA Members
In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), this privacy notice sets how NASA uses members’ personal data and explains members’ rights regarding that data. What information do we collect?
Your name, membership type, address, institutional affiliation, phone number, email address, subscription amount, bank account number (IBAN), the year of your first subscription and the years in which you have paid your membership fees.
Why are we collecting your data?
To enable the collection of membership dues and to provide you with information about the work of NASA and related activities.
How will we use this data?
To send you the NASA newsletter, communicate your membership status, and invite you to renew your membership annually; to keep you informed about NASA events and related activities of interest to the Americanists in the Netherlands.
What is the legal basis for processing this data?
The consent of NASA members.
Who do we share your data with?
The data you provide will not be supplied to any unauthorized third party.
How long will we keep your data?
For the term of your membership. You can terminate your NASA membership at any time via the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
What are your rights?
You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
– a right to access your personal data held by us;
– a right to object to data processing;
– a right to have inaccurate personal data rectified;
– a right to have personal data erased;
– a right to complain to your national data protection regulator.
