TRAHA 2017 Winner Renee de Groot Returns from North Dakota

The 2017 Theodore Roosevelt American History Award was won by Renee de Groot, a graduate student of the University of Amsterdam and former StudentNASA president, for her thesis: “The Rewritten War: Alternate Histories of the Civil War.” The prize consisted of a bust of Theodore Roosevelt, and a trip to North Dakota, where Renee was a guest of the TR Medora Foundation and the TR Center at Dickinson State University.

In June she made this trip to the North Dakota Badlands. A report of her journey is available here.

The program, organized by the RIAS, has been sponsored by the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation and the Province of Zeeland.
