Nicolas Turner succeeds Christine Mertens as Editor-in-Chief of the Netherlands American Studies Review (NASR).
“I am honored and thrilled to take over as the new Editor-in-Chief of NASR. Having served on NASR’s editorial board over the last year, I know what a talented team of editors we have and I look forward to continuing to work with them, creating this special home for student research on North American topics coming out of the Netherlands. I have also been privileged to see first-hand the wonderful work done by Christine Mertens as Editor-in-Chief, who I want to take the opportunity to thank for her leadership, vision, and hard work. I am excited to continue building on her fantastic stewardship of NASR and wish her every success in her next steps.”
Nicolas is beginning a PhD at Leiden University. His research focuses on Jewish American literature in the post-war United States, examining the relationship between understandings of Jewishness and the production, institutionalization, and problematization of ideas of racial, sexual, and gender identity.
